Production Description

Attractive aluminium strip mat using long life, intense wear vinyl infills in an ultra low 10mm thick design.

Area of Application

GRIPPLUS is specially designed as an attractive and easily cleaned entrance mat for all intense wear areas: hotels, commercial premises, airports, shopping malls, etc. Plain and powder-coated versions to suit the most prestigious entrance ways.

Performance is best when used indoors or in weather protected areas.

Composition

The GRIPPLUS clean-off system is uniquely attractive and functional. It is composed of:

1. The intense wear VINYL infill with a 5-year guarantee.
2. The heel-proof fully interlocking aluminium base which eliminates dirt drop-through by specially designed dirt collection rails. This makes cleaning quick and easy.
3. The anti-clatter moulded continuous rubber feet.
4. The proprietary 10 mm matwell system

Dimensions

GRIPPLUS mats are all custom-made to client’s specifications. Any shape can be made without losing structural integrity and larger size mats are made in fully interlocking sections for easy on site assembly.

The vinyl infill is available in black; the aluminium can be anodised or powder-coated to the client’s exact specification.

UV Resistance

Some fading of the vinyl infill may become apparent in areas of intense sunlight.

Moisture Behaviour

Nil; except to note that as with any entrance mat, performance is reduced when it is wet.

Safety

GRIPPLUS has a special design to eliminate heel traps and is anti-slip in all conditions. A mat of sufficient size will minimise slip hazards on subsequent floors.

Installation

May be surface mounted using a 10 mm ramp matwell system or recessed in the proprietary 10 mm matwell. Must be over a firm flat surface. For optimum performance, installation in weather protected areas is preferable. An installation data sheet is available and is also included with every order.

Cleaning/Maintenance

GRIPPLUS does not have to be removed for cleaning as dirt cannot drop through. Specially corrugated rails gather dirt for simple cleaning. The heavy wear infills gather and trap dirt also. This action makes maintenance of GRIPPLUS an important regular activity. This regular maintenance will keep GRIPPLUS effective and looking attractive for many years.

Daily Maintenance: Daily vacuum GRIPPLUS thoroughly with a powerful vacuum cleaner, preferably with power driven brushes, working lengthwise along the infills.

Periodic Maintenance: A routine visual inspection will identify when GRIPPLUS is becoming full of dirt. It can then be cleaned with water and a mild cleaning agent. GRIPPLUS can be scrubbed with a machine or by hand along the direction of the infills only.

GRIPPLUS can be refurbished with new infills when required.

Guarantee

GRIPPLUS has a 5-year warranty on wear and performance, conditional on correct installation and maintenance according to the manufacturers instructions.

Detailed fitting, maintenance and cleaning instructions are supplied with each mat and are also available on request.

Approximately $531.00 per square metre. Extra for powder-coating and cutting to shape.
